So Where Do You Apply For Group Home Funding??
Last week we had a FREE 10 PART COURSE and coaching client reach out to us with a dilemma!
He was following some of the marketing material included in the FREE 10 PART COURSE and started to get some calls coming in from Craigslist and Facebook ads, but they were mostly from tenants that did not have a guaranteed source of income.
Where is all this Government money he heard of??!!
“Where do I apply for a Grant?” he asked
Bad news: “You’re not going to get a grant” 🙁
“To get funds/grants from the Government directly you’d need to hire a Grant Writer, a lawyer or consultant to ensure you’re 100% compliant with the regulations, paperwork etc, AND you’d need to forge you’re history….because they will not give out Grants to organizations without a successful track record. Political connections also help. Not counting the forgery cost***, this will run you thousands that you don’t have” we told him.
*** (We are joking. Do not do this or you’ll go to jail)
Good news: He was missing a KEY detail from the course, and right there on the call, in a matter of minutes I found the above organization in his area. They get funds from local residents’ charity and also…here’s the KEY…Government grants from programs like THIS from Ben Carson’s HUD. That one program alone doles out Billions in grants per year!
Organizations like Caritas need to find housing for these people or guess what??
NO MORE GOVERNMENT MONEY
Rather than spend 6 months to a year and thousands of dollars to get through all of the hoops of getting a grant (not to mention the possible jail time if forgery is needed), why don’t you do what OUR FOUNDER, SUCCESSFUL MEMBERS, and Amy from below do?
Market to organizations like Caritas for referrals, and then get paid by those non-profits or directly from the Gov’t via programs like SSI??
“The home is owned and operated Amy Bacashihua, a woman who ran group homes for the elderly most of her life. She currently has ten tenants and beds at a base rate of $1,000 a month – but has a policy of leniency motivated by her Christian faith.
She’s giving the Valentinos a significant break on the rent, and LA Family Housing are giving them supplementary assistance for a couple months until the couple can save money. She also accepts rent by way of Social Security or disability insurance.”
So Amy has her home set up LIKE THIS, markets to non-profits like LA Family Housing, then brings in probably around $100,000 per year from one home after factoring in the charitable housing she provides.
It’s really that simple! Not EASY….but simple! There’s a ton of other details of course, but that’s where we come in 🙂
You don’t need a license, a team of nurses, a big building, a politically connected non-profit, or a lot of money to start! Just some drive, hustle, and the ability to implement what you learn!
