THAT I SENT OUT REMINDING MY MANAGERS HOW TO GET FREE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES MONEY

Manager Name,
#1. High level, get a 3 day notice out to EVERYONE. Finesse it for this month. Otherwise we will need to wait until April to file it. Let them know this will give them an April credit. You need to be smooth with this. See document titled “3 – Day Notice”

#2. Fill out the document titled, “HHS Rent Statement” (this SHOULD expedite the process,) just know that when you take the in there, they may have a new form that they want filled out.

#3. Fill out Document titled “HHS Page 1” and “HHS Page 2”. You will really need to do this for the tenants as they do not have the ability and most don’t know how to.

#4. After this has been given to the case worker, we will get an email from one of the case workers (or a fax) and you will need to print and sign it. Once you do this, the payment will be issued**

**That said, it will take probably 3-6 weeks to process which is fine. These will essentially be receivables.

Lets execute on this!!

1. Gather up all clients, Stand in line and submit application

2. They will call back the applicant and set up a meeting (which is why you want to pre-filled out)

3. Show income verification.

– If person makes over $465 per month, they are INELLIGABLE

– If person’s income is SSI or SSDI, that income IS NOT TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION.

– NOTE: ALL APPLICANTS SHOULD BE ON SSDI OR SSI IN ORDER TO PROCESS PAYMENT

4. Show proof of CRISIS and why the individual cannot pay their rent. Examples are:

– Prescription costs went up

– Medical expenses

– Car broke down and had to pay the mechanic. Show a bill from the mechanic

– Simply show why there is no money left

5. Provide eviction letter from landlord

6. HHS Office will fax over signature letter for property manager / landlord

7. Payment will be issued.
